The only indication that anything has changed is Rimworld's atrocious Mod Mismatch popup when your users try to load the same save they played yesterday. There's no notification on Steam's end to let your users know that the mod was removed, no message to point to your new replacement mod, nothing. The problem is as soon as you remove the mod, it's also automatically removed from the library of everyone who happened to use your mod as soon as they open Steam. Maybe the mod isn't needed anymore or made obsolete by a similar mod, maybe you don't feel it's appreciated enough, maybe you just don't care about it anymore. I have no other known problems going on with my PC, Blizzard games like Overwatch are running fine on Ultra.Įdit: have also tried clear download cache.I'm sure you have your reasons. It has worked fine until tonight (same hardware and drives for months) until it just stopped for seemingly no reason. Beta on didnt work, neither did Beta back off. I completely uninstalled then deleted all the registry keys and reinstalled, did not work. I have tried the delete everything except Steam.exe and it didn't help. Civilization VI shows subscribed but not installed on all my mods after downloading a couple gigs worth of them over and over again. The unsub resub temporarily worked on that one.
I tried on Mod the Spire because you get an error message if you try to 'Play with Mods' and it is not installed. I tried on slay the spire to unsub resub and it worked until a restart then started right back to the same.
Then after it downloads gigs of workshop content, it still is not available. Civilization VI, American and Euro Truck Simulators, Slay the Spire, etc.
Every time I restart Steam, it wants to redownload all my workshop mods for multiple games.
